The below advice is in relation to Citipointe Church – Auckland, New Zealand Location.

Dear Church Family,

We wanted to say thank you that during this challenging season you have continued to BE the church. Thanks for tuning in online each week and for continually sowing generously into the Kingdom of God. We love that during this season we have seen all of our church locations across the world continue to unmistakably influence our world for good and for God.

As restrictions begin to ease across Auckland, we have made the decision to gather together for live services as of this Sunday May 31st, 2020. What an amazing date for the reopening of the church building that marks Pentecost Sunday and we have no doubt this is going to be incredible!

In order to keep to the gathering limits of 100 our service times will be 9am & 10.30am and we will have an online church experience and we will share the link via our private Facebook group.

As we return to live services, we want you to know that we will be taking all the necessary precautions and hygiene measures to ensure social distancing and safety for all church members attending. In light of this, we will implement the following procedures from this weekend:

We are required to have every person who attends a service to sign in and sign out. Our team will make this as easy as possible for you and you will see the sign in area at the front of the church on the grass near the entryway.

The seats will be arranged in clusters of 10 chairs per section and each section will be spaced 2 metres apart. Our host team will aid you in finding seats but feel free to take initiative in finding seats together for you, your friends and family. For those coming alone you are welcome to sit in any section with other church members wherever you are most comfortable.

We would ask that in line with Health Department guidelines if you are feeling unwell please rest at home. We will be livestreaming our services over this time so those unwell can still be part of it. If you are not well please let us or your Lifegroup Leader know and as a family we will pray for you.

We love our incredibly friendly culture, however, let’s skip the hugs and handshakes in favour of smiling and waving. There will be hand sanitizer available at check in for you to use.

Our host team will be especially diligent in opening doors for you to prevent you making unnecessary contact with door handles.

Members of our amazing Kids Team will check your child in ensuring that you will not need to touch a shared computer. We will ensure that all tables and children’s toys will be wiped over at the end of each service. Each children’s room will have a limit of 10 kids and they will need to be signed in again at the kids check in station.

On Communion Sundays, we will provide prepackaged communion and these will be placed on each seat prior to the service to avoid passing out the elements. Used packaging can be placed under your seat and we will collect at the end of the service.

We ask that you give online or you can place your offering in the Offering Buckets provided at the end of each service. Giving Stations will be operational and we ask that machines be wiped down after each use with the wipes provided.

These prevention methods will minimise physical contact made at our church gathering, but we also recommend spending time learning these World Health Organisation personal hygiene recommendations:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick or have symptoms.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then dispose of the tissue in the bin.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

If any new information emerges or we implement additional safety procedures, we will inform you by email, website, and social media. We encourage everyone to connect with us via social media so that you can be made aware of our immediate updates and regularly check our website at

For updates on social media specific to your location, please ensure you stay tuned to the Citipointe Auckland Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Let’s continue to pray and stand in faith for our world to come and know the love grace of truth and Jesus Christ.
